If you’re an English speaker, don’t limit yourself to one job site. Different platforms attract different types of employers, and I found that using a mix of general job boards, expat-focused sites and recruitment agencies gives you a much better chance of finding something.
🇳🇱 General Job Boards
- LinkedIn Jobs — Especially useful for professional roles, tech, marketing, design, finance and international companies.
- Indeed Netherlands — Huge range of jobs, from entry-level and hospitality to professional positions.
- YoungCapital — One of my favourites if you want something quickly. Lots of English-speaking roles, particularly in hospitality, customer service, logistics, retail, admin and temporary work.
- Werk.nl / UWV — The Dutch public employment service. It’s worth checking, especially once you have your BSN and DigiD.
🌍 Expat & International Job Boards
- IamExpat Jobs — Specifically geared towards internationals in the Netherlands, with an English-language job section.
- Together Abroad — Focuses on international and multilingual vacancies.
- Undutchables — Recruitment agency specialising in international candidates. You can filter vacancies by preferred language, including English.
💼 Recruitment Agencies
Don't overlook recruitment agencies, especially if you're trying to get your first job in the Netherlands. Agencies can connect you with employers that are already used to hiring internationals and can sometimes get you into temporary or entry-level roles much faster.
